In this ever-spinning world filled with never-ending to-do lists, I am striving to do the “one thing” Jesus said was better than all the rest. Like Mary, I want to live my life at the feet of Jesus, captivated by His every word, learning from His infinite wisdom, and walking with Him through all life’s unexpected twists and turns.

Welcome to this space! I’ll move over so you can sit beside me here at the feet of Jesus. Together we can seek His face and be changed more and more into His image.

A bit about me

Saved by grace, growing in faith, seeking to bravely live out what God has called me to.

Married to an amazingly patient man who has taught me more than any other what it means to love sacrificially and unconditionally and serve joyfully.

Smack-dab in the middle of the parenting journey, mothering and discipling my two children has grown me in selflessness, patience, and joy. They’ve taught me that although everything indeed does have a place, the world won’t end if it’s not in it. They’ve shown me how to laugh loud and driven me to pray hard. They’ve taught me humility and forgiveness and savouring the small things in life.

Serving joyfully in ministry in a small-town church filled with gracious people who are my spiritual family.

Spending hours in the pages of Scripture, I love studying and teaching God’s Word. It is my passion and I want to encourage women everywhere to love God with all their minds and hearts.

Capturing treasured moments through a camera lens and creating pages of memories is my idea of fun.

Counting gifts from above and looking for ways to thank Him in all circumstances is a disciplined practice of turning my eyes heavenward.

Although I know God determines the places in which we are born, I wonder if somehow I am better suited to live on a sandy seashore with ocean breezes blowing through my hair and the sun warm on my face (and not a snowflake in sight!).

Love lists and the small adrenaline rush that comes from checking things off.

Why I started blogging

I’ve blogged before and then stopped. Now again I feel the Holy Spirit nudge to write in this small corner of the web. I have a renewed sense of urgency to use what God has given me to impact others for the Kingdom and a renewed desire to encourage women to get into the Word.

What you will find here

You can expect to find resources and encouragement to help you know your God better through His Word. Though written teaching as I blog through the Bible, we can meet on the pages of Scripture. Woven throughout will be stories and snapshots of how God is teaching and growing me through the seemingly mundane. I’m so thankful you stopped by.
