Life can become very monotonous. Days filled with repetative tasks turn into weeks of routine, which turn into years of the same. A change, any change, would be good.

Percisely why these words are so refreshing:

“I am doing a new thing!” (Isaiah 43:19)

God is in the business of doing a new thing; a new thing in our circumstances, in our lives and in our hearts. When looking for newness in life, we need to look no farther than the God of the universe, who makes all things new.

The words in Isaiah are how this blog came to be. Pouring words onto page in this format has been on my mind for quite some time. I felt His nudge to step beyond the comfortable and familiar to create a space where I can share how God meets me in my ordinary, everyday life. How He reveals Himself anew to me. Indeed, this is something new.

But forget all that –
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
